This shift posed a critical question: how to effectively utilize and maximize the customer data collected through their Shopify store for marketing purposes while ensuring compliance with data privacy laws.
Recognizing the limitations of Shopify’s generic consent collection approach, Dataships implemented an optimized consent management tool at Sculpted’s checkout. This approach replaced the one-size-fits-all model with a dynamic, location-based consent strategy, ensuring both growth and compliance. The Dataships solution not only ensured lawful data collection but also significantly enhanced their marketable rate.
In doing so, not only have they ensured they are collecting the data compliantly so that they can use it in the future, but they have also seen a massive increase in the number of marketable contacts they are collecting. They have gone from being able to market to 3 out of 10 customers to 8 out of 10! This means more leads in their Klaviyo that they can nurture and turn into repeat customers.
The impact of implementing Dataships’ solution was immediate. The marketable rate at checkout jumped phenomenally, growing from 31% to 81%. This significant increase meant that the brand could now effectively market to eight out of every ten customers in their Klaviyo, significantly amplifying their reach, and leading to increased revenue from repeat purchases.
Implementing the Dataships tool has led to a significant uplift in our conversion of marketing opt-ins at the checkout. This has resulted in more customers in our Klaviyo receiving our campaigns and ultimately additional revenue.
