As one of Ireland’s top makeup artists & creator of the award-winning makeup brand Sculpted by Aimee Connolly and founder of Sculpted; the Academy, Aimee Connolly recognizes the importance of her customers’ data and their privacy. The cosmetics business was established in 2016 and has grown today to ship to more than 20 countries.
When the pandemic hit in 2020 Aimee Connolly had to shift in-store sales and makeup masterclasses online, making her customers’ data privacy paramount to her success. This is what prompted Aimee and her team to engage with Dataships and put in place a ‘best-in-class’ data privacy experience for their clients.
Dataships began by implementing robust privacy and cookie declarations for the Sculpted by Aimee site. Importantly, all of Aimee’s third-party data sources such as Shopify & Kalviyo were integrated into the Data Access Gateway so customers can view the information held about them, edit, download or delete it, as per their rights under GDPR legislation. Through doing so, all personal data is accessible to each individual ensuring transparency and allowing the fulfillment of their data privacy rights.
